A
special "Thank You" to Cheryl and Northfleet Dog Obedience. Our
dog, Ebony, was quite troublesome. We had taken her to two previous
obedience programs. One she had failed and the other they had passed her I
think out of sympathy. Ebony is a Lab mix with a lot of energy and a dislike
for other dogs. Ebony made enjoying Ebony very difficult.
I
called Cheryl and explained some of the difficulties we were having and she
asked that we bring Ebony out for a visit and evaluation. I will not forget
her words, "She's a piece of work!" During our meeting, Cheryl
helped us to determine our goals as she agreed to work with our dog.
Our
arrangement was that she would work with Ebony and have us check her
progress. After only one week we were thrilled to see Ebony heel and stay. A
major accomplishment in our minds! Also, she was more affectionate and was
enjoying training. We are excited to be bringing Ebony home this week!

He was socialized on site as well as at the park and various places. It wasn't just my dog that was trained; I, too, learned how to work with him and was even sent home with a booklet that gave tips unique to him and his breed. I loved the fact that we could come visit "Volume" during his time away from home, and that we could get involved as we wanted in the process. I could never do what Cheryl does as she is a woman of amazing patience and skill in working with dogs. It is her true love for them that drives her to teach them with a very effective yet gentle firmness. Who says you can't train a Siberian Husky?
